Meet our Director, Miss Inuka!Inuka has been a staff member and owner at the Gingerbread House Preschool since 1995. She began her career here as a teacher/owner and became the Director in 1996. She teaches using multi-educational disciplines and has brought a professional and loving spirit to the school. Utilizing the best from such learning models as Montessori, Multi-Sensory, Hands-on, and social learning programs, she and the staff provide a great program for the children.
Inuka says, “I just like to watch the kids grow and develop. It’s so fulfilling to see a child start with us at age 2 or 3, and see how much they learn, how much they grow when they get our full program. Many of them are barely old enough to talk, and then it just happens so fast, they are speaking fully, know math concepts, develop personal skills, they develop their personalities. And then they graduate and are ready for Kindergarten!
But then, they don’t want to leave! They love the program, and the fun and safe environment here, they love our staff and the other kids who become their friends. It’s a fulfilling program for the kids.”
Inuka has been working with children in a school setting for over 25 years.
She carries 18 Early Childhood Development Units and oversees the staff and classrooms and contributes to the classroom curriculum and instruction.
